Ruined photo

This small photo has been almost ruined by a fold right across the center of it. The photo itself appears to be a piece of plastic and the film coating that is broken and wrinkled pulls off the image as it flakes away. You can just barely see the photo is of a man and at least one woman, possibly a second woman to his right or a child. It’s a shame it has been ruined.

That is a shame. Its a more modern photo – it would have been a huge help in identifying the people in the album if they had put some names on it somewhere.

I looks like a woman on the right to me – I see a dress and a sweater top – much like the other woman’s.

I have looked high and low for a Talbot connection – and while there are some fascinating Talbots in the Maryville – Savannah area (spelled Talbott) including a Dr. Perry H. Talbott in Nodaway County that was shot through a window of his home – and died the next day – his teenage sons Albert and Charles were hung for the murder.

Perry’s wife eventually died in a poor farm is and buried there.

It looks like a 1930’s photo to me, perhaps a not so good photo studio, or the photo was not important. I found one at the museum yesterday where they cut the face of one person out of a group photo..crazy:(
