On the pond

There isn’t much needed to be said about this photo. It’s beautiful, serene, artistic, natural, and beautifully composed.

I have decided to submit this as a Sepia Saturday post, because this week’s prompt shows a girl rowing by herself. I think this image, with some color correction, would be a perfectly beautiful framed print. There is just something about it that captures my attention and takes me right to the shore of the pond.

For more images of girls in boats on ponds and likely a whole load of other stuff, click over to Sepia Saturday. You will be happy you did!

Floating away…

Love the dog hanging over the stern — is he looking for frogs on lilypads?

I think the woman looks worried about steering into the lily pads and the dog looks like he may jump overboard.

Yes, i was wondering what the photographer had to say to persuade her to go out in a boat with a dog while dressed so nicely, heh.

An excellent photo for this weekend. It reminds me of one of Claude Monet’s impressionist paintings, though I think he was probably more a cat than a dog person.

I love the way the dog looks and is looking over the front of the boat.

I’m with Mike. I was thinking of Monet too. What a great photo. She’s very dressed up to be boating don’t you think?

I think that dog could make balancing and rowing a bit of a challenge

The dog would rock the boat if he decided to jump. He appears to have his ‘sea legs’. Great photoamong the lily pads.

Right, the light does take the eye right to the shore -but then one has to explore the boat, the girl and the dog, even tho the shore beckons.

It is a wonderful shot, but I’m thinking the woman is worried a frog is going to jump and the dog is hoping one does.

    Indeed, it speaks by itself!!

A serene and peaceful shot among the lily pads, at least until the dog decides he’s bored just looking!
